Mike’s Observations: My neighbor gave me a heads up there were many of these butterflies today, along with a host of different type of skippers.

Mike’s Observations: Kind of faded painted lady.
Location: In the parking lot outside Modern Dance Arts in Norman, OK (1423 24th Ave SW between Route 9 and Lindsey)
Date/Time: Oct 14, 2008 6pm
Mike’s Observations: I was coming back from my daughter’s dance class, and a white butterfly landed on these flowers on the edge of the parking lot. There were lots of other butterflies and bees there. I saw this Painted Lady, an Common Checkered Skipper, another skipper, two large Monarchs, two types of bees, and a wasp.
