Animal: Black witch (Ascalapha odorata )
Location: Under the eaves at my neighbor’s house (my house is 108 McSha Place) in Norman, OK.
Date/Time: Sep 25, 2010 ~1:15 pm
Mike’s Observations: This thing was very large for compared to most moths around here (~5″). Quite a surprise to see something this big during midday. I haven’t seen this one before. Looks like a little pink in the hind wing, so maybe this is a female.
